Syria: John Kerry and Sergei Lavrov talk up prospect of peaceful solution

 US secretary of state John Kerry and Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov issue a statement on Friday, following their discussions in Geneva over how best to secure Syria's chemical weapons arsenal.
