India test fires indigenously developed nuclear-capable Agni-I ballistic missile

Balasore/Odisha: India successfully test fires its indigenously developed nuclear-capable Agni-I ballistic missile. The estimated strike range of missile is tested to be 700km .
The missile was launched from road mobile launcher system . It reached the target point in the Bay of Bengal. It was tracked by
radar and telemetry stations located along the coastline sources reported.
ITR director M V K V Prasad said "The test-fire of the ballistic missile was fully successful."
Agni-I ballistic missile Weighing 12 tonnes, the 15-metre-long . can carry payloads up to 1000 kg . It has already been included into the Indian Army .
Agni-I was developed by DRDO in collaboration with Defence Research Development Laboratory and Research Centre Imarat and integrated by Bharat Dynamics Limited, Hyderabad.#http://bit.ly/19mI2sN
