India's Mars mission: India successfully launch Mars Orbiter Mission ‘Mangalyaan’
Sriharikota : India has joined the big league with United States, Russia and France . The successful launch of its most ambitious project the Mars Orbiter Mission ‘Mangalyaan’ in Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota has brought India on global arena.
One of the scientist associated with the Mars Orbiter Mission said “Our baby is up in space looking for scientific objects but we have a long way to go.”US Scientist told Professor UR Rao , who had done the feasibility study of the Mars mission "it is the biggest day for the whole of India.”After successful launch ,the control of the Mars Orbiter Mission has been taken over by scientists team at ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) at Bangalore,India. Spacecraft has achieved the first orbit of 246.9 by 23,566.69 km around Earth.It has successfully injected the 1,350-kg Orbiter into the orbit around Earth The successful completion of the first stage of the Mars Orbiter Mission costed Rs. 500 crore mission.This is India's first inter-planetary step.India counter part China condemns the possibility that India can overtake China in space race. They pointed India has 320 million people
