China launches communication technology test satellite

China has launched an experimental communication technology satellite from the Xichang Satellite Launch Centre in Sichuan province. The satellite was launched successfully at 11.42 p.m. (local time) on Saturday on a Long Mach 3B carrier rocket, Xinhua news agency reported.
